HSSE
Safeguarding health, safety, security and environmental protection is a priority for us.
In our HSSE policy we commit to preventing all accidents, injuries and occupational illness, and to protecting the environment. We continually optimise the activities of all our subsidiaries with a view to technical, organisational and behaviour-based safety, and we promote a proactive safety culture.
A central tool for learning from incidents is a global incident database. To prevent incidents and stop them recurring, all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions are logged and systematically analysed. Where necessary, HSSE alerts are created, distributed and discussed with our employees.
To monitor compliance with our internal standards, internal HSSE audits are performed, and detailed HSSE statistics with leading and lagging indicators are analysed. New employees, contractors and visitors are all briefed on HSSE before they start work or begin their visit.
